privacy
Privacy, at its simplest definition, is your ability to determine what parts of your identity you reveal to which parties. You’ll notice, I say your ability, not your right: it is my belief that speaking about rights is a mostly fruitless exercise. Rights are pieces of paper defined by mortals who frequently have no intention of upholding those rights in all of their applications over all time.
Rights also vary from country to country, state to state, province to province and even person to person. As much as the liberal class would like to make you believe, there is no such thing as human rights, universal rights or inalienable rights. There are pieces of paper and norms, and those in power are constantly changing their willingness and motivation to actually enforce those norms.
The only rights you have are the ones you can guarantee. Your right to privacy must be guarded mathematically, logically and technologically.
